When you get the opportunity to join the Jameson party with that kind of headline you don’t say no, ha? I definitely didn’t, so I was ready to go partying on Friday the 16th.
Jameson party time?
I didn’t expect a lot … well, I expected some good music and delicious cocktails, but there was more!
When we arrived at the location (which was an unusual place for a party in Ljubljana) and after the greeting, we joined the lecture. What was it about? About whiskey! And not just one, we listened to the pro (oops forgot his name, I think he was Eric) talking about whiskey, 7 different ones if I’m exact.
Jameson Irish Whiskey, Jameson Crested, Jameson Caskmates, Jameson Distiller’s Safe, Jameson Blender’s Dog, Jameson Cooper’s Croze, and Jameson Black Barrel.
All with very rich taste and deep notes of various flavors. I’m sure you know the Irish whiskey, but if you never heard of it (haha): Jameson Original is a blend of pot still and fine grain whiskeys that is as versatile as it is smooth. Triple-distilled and aged for a minimum of 4 years.
You can read more about them at the webpage, and I can tell you my favorite was Jameson Black Barrel with a rich finish and vanilla sweetness.
5 different cocktails were made, and they were all sweet and rich in flavor. Jameson Summer, Garden, Bonder, Bow Street, and 4 MR JJ. Again, my favorite was the Bonder, because it contained basil leaves, and I adore fresh basil anywhere, food or drink.
There was an average live band and some people I knew, so if I sum up – a bit surprisingly, I had a great time and the lecture was one of the best things! Hopefully, they will repeat it someday next year.
